In a patisserie the bag continues the window: the customer does not see the box, they see the bag. Fine line patterns and gold tones come out cleaner on white kraft than on brown — the ground colour does not show under the ink.
A boxed cake is heavy and sits close to the mouth of the bag; when giving a size, measure the box with its lid on rather than the box alone.
